The Indian Army gave it back!

THE PRELUDE:

October 20: Attack at Z-Morh Tunnel in Ganderbal; seven people, including six laborers and a doctor, were killed.

October 24: Militants ambushed an army vehicle in Gulmarg, Baramulla, resulting in four deaths (two soldiers and two porters).

October 24: A laborer from Uttar Pradesh was injured in a shooting in Pulwama.

October 28: An army convoy was targeted in Doda.

These repetitive terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir form part of a long-standing strategy aimed at destabilizing peace and creating unrest in the region. The primary goal of militant groups, often supported by external forces is to disrupt the political and social fabric of the area, making it difficult for the state to maintain order and security. These attacks have escalated over the years, especially targeting Indian security forces, local civilians, and critical infrastructure.

What next?

Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost!

Here’s what happened next…

The valleys of Jammu and Kashmir echoes with the victorious will of the Indian Army and their determination towards fighting all the nightmares and wearing the uniform everyday to protect the nation! It is time to honor their resilience with compassion and a renewed effort towards lasting peace. While most of us our celebrating the Diwali festival, our army is marching towards their next milestone!

Our stories can talk more than just Coldplay!

Remember the last time a soldier sacrificed his life? Well, we don’t even remember what happened yesterday, and most of us really don’t bother to bother enough about what’s going on the borders!

Names like Capt Deepak Singh and Capt Brijesh Thapa get somewhere lost and unnoticed because we are more concerned about the Coldplay concerts! The idea behind writing this length of an article wasn’t to be sarcastic but to be more realistic about the current J&K situation. With the number of attacks that have been made by our so called neighbour in the past few months is a quick reminder that we can’t really take this casually!

What can we do? Not all of us are soldiers… fair enough! Can we stand for them? Can our social media stories talk more about our own soldiers and country situations? I think all of it is possible but we choose to talk about the matters that make us stand cooler in our circles.

Thanks to Mr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar for always putting up India’s stand clear on world forums and making us proud. Here’s a powerful statement that deserves an applaud, “A premier example is our neighbour, Pakistan. Unfortunately, their misdeeds affect others as well, especially the neighbourhood. When this polity instils such fanaticism among its people, its GDP can only be measured in terms of radicalization and its exports in the form of terrorism.”

We could totally make his viewpoint viral on our social media and make enough racket to give the neighbors some chills—what do you think? It will be a more entertaining saga than a Coldplay concert!

The Human In The Woman

It looks like the day was brighter today than ever, the reason is obvious. I am sure you gave the due attention to the ladies who are important to you and you wished them today. Well, I am happy that I came across with some amazing content online today, with some smiling and laughing with the girl gangs in their selfies, with few others tagging their mothers and few others posting social issues and creating awareness.  Moreover, the feeling of gratitude was experienced. But I realized few women manage to make each day as special as women’s day.

I was traveling by bus today in Mumbai, India and I was sitting on the ladies seat (In Mumbai we have few seats reserved strictly for women.) There was a middle-aged woman sitting next to me who was draped in a floral printed saree and she was busy reading her religious book and was constantly reciting the mantras. After some time I thought of getting down but  I was not sure about the exact stop for my destination. And I was all confused as the road no more seemed familiar to me. I was supposed to reach at 9:00 am and it was already 8:40 am so I was panicking. The lady sitting next to me looked at my puzzled face, she smiled and then asked me as to where was I supposed to get down and I told her the name of my bus stop. She wasn’t sure about that stop either so she immediately called the conductor and asked him to guide me with my bus stop. Well, everyone is so busy these days. None has the time to read the facial expressions and this lady managed to leave her religious mantras aside and actually take an effort. I saw a concerned mother and a beautiful friend in that lady.  I have often seen few women yelling at the girls standing next to the door on the train. They yell at them for their safety so as to they don’t fall down. Once I was traveling and the bus was overly crowded and I was overloaded with packets and vegetables in my hand. Unfortunately, the plastic bag in which I had the vegetables tore off and I wasn’t able to manage the mess. And there I got rescued by two women who extended a helping hand by offering a bag!

The above mentioned aren’t just sweet gestures but the essence which says there is still humanity around us. This day just got me reminded of all the beautiful experiences. Hope you had your good share of experiences.

Let’s Go Mute!

Didn’t you find something strange today? No commotion, no djs and no loud songs! India witnessed this Independence and Janmashtami as a special day by going mute! But few voices in the mute zone raised higher than ever.

Few sweets were sent from this side of the border and the smiles and giggles from the other side matched the marching rhythm. A woman raised her voice in Srinagar in the frustration of peace and order, but she screamed in the glory of the country just by reciting, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”

And with few posts going viral on social media with the tricolour and an hope to get a corruption free nation and eradication of poverty but with the inner voice being in unison. The love for the young ones was seen today when many Govindas backed out from Dahi Handi.

And sometimes, it’s good to go mute!

The Quill And The Paper

images-1The quill and the paper share an exquisite relationship,

The one that starts with words on the tip.

The paper hides and covers the words by the quill inside the book,

And the quill waits for the poet to write because it’s just an excuse for the quill to just have one look,

And when the ink dries the paper weeps inside and gets pale,

What an amazing tale!

The Book And The Reader

img_20170203_145133_hdr_1486142210681

The pages turned one by one,

And the story unfolded the biggest plot twist,

The climax was known to none,

Thoughts got lost in the mist,

There were hearts that lost and hearts that won.

The page was folded by the reader,

There was a dent, it was clear,

The story had to continue, it was known to the reader,

End was pretty near,

The intruder in the story kept running and being a cheater!

Law of karma, they say it,

Few of them believe and few don’t!

Tragedy has to happen, plot has to get worse, it’s a story at the end, believe it.

If not on the first page, the credits will be there at the end, many will stop reading, but you don’t!

The next part will begin soon, don’t kill the spirit!
