THE PRELUDE:
October 20: Attack at Z-Morh Tunnel in Ganderbal; seven people, including six laborers and a doctor, were killed.
October 24: Militants ambushed an army vehicle in Gulmarg, Baramulla, resulting in four deaths (two soldiers and two porters).
October 24: A laborer from Uttar Pradesh was injured in a shooting in Pulwama.
October 28: An army convoy was targeted in Doda.
These repetitive terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir form part of a long-standing strategy aimed at destabilizing peace and creating unrest in the region. The primary goal of militant groups, often supported by external forces is to disrupt the political and social fabric of the area, making it difficult for the state to maintain order and security. These attacks have escalated over the years, especially targeting Indian security forces, local civilians, and critical infrastructure.
