Letters from the heart – India speaks to Her Soldiers

The mornings of Independence Day are so different, the musical rythm of patriotic songs, National Athem played across, Tricolour vibes, TV channels playing the heroic stories in loop! Well, every second you think of just one thing and that’s ‘India’. But all of this on the comfort of a sofa or a bed! Because while we celebrate the long weekend the heroes are still battling the battle!

So, this Independence Day, we thought of doing something unusual and this was to send out the warmth, love and respect through our words! This Independence Day, we reached out to people from every corner of India and asked one simple question: What would you like to say to our heroes?

And the response was beyond words!
It was the collective heartbeat of a nation.
It was love wrapped in gratitude.
It was a reminder that every soldier, whether in a snow-capped post or a distant desert, is never alone. The strength of the entire Nation beats for them!

The Voice of a Grateful Nation

The letters for our Heroes

💌 Jay Rathod, Pune
“Big salute to you Heroes. I can’t be thankful enough for the work, sacrifices, and effort you put in to guard our nation. The way you fought in Operation Sindoor and in ongoing missions makes our country proud. Wish you strength, courage, and victory — always. Jai Hind, Bharat Mata ki Jai!”

💌 Rohit, Gujarat
“I once saw an army truck pass by, and a soldier smiled at me. That single moment melted my heart. You may not know our faces, but please know — you live in our prayers every day. You sacrifice so much so we can live without fear. Happy Independence Day”

Somewhere tonight, a family sleeps in peace

Somewhere today, a child laughs freely
because you guard our borders.”

💌 Manav Choudhary, Mumbai
“उन लोगों के लिए हम क्या ही लिखें जो प्रतिदिन एक कहानी लिखते हैं… बस इतना कहना चाहता हूँ कि आप लोग हमेशा ख़ुश रहें, हमारा दिल और जान आप लोग हैं। वंदे मातरम्, जय हिंद।”

Every time the flag flutters, I think of you.
Of the winds you’ve braved, the mountains you’ve climbed, and the fears you’ve conquered.
You are the reason our tomorrow is safe.”

“You have the discipline, strength, and determination to keep serving the country and defending the borders. We are proud to be your countrymen”

A final word to our Heroes

To our soldiers:

I know you wear the toughest skin, the rawest boots, the brutal headgear… you see what we can’t, you feel what we can just imagine!

The horrifying nights of remembering your mates, the gunfire shots constantly ringing in the ears, the gore, the bloodshed. And the injuries you brush off, the tears you wash out, and the memories of the loved ones you sacrifice. No amount of letters or words will ever be enough to thank you!

But this Independence Day, the people of India want you to know: you are loved beyond measure, respected beyond words, and remembered beyond days like these.

Jai Hind. Bharat Mata ki Jai.

PS:
To my fellow Indians…
Our words can reach where we can’t.
